BIG COMPENSATION.
Arbitration Court Awards Widow £lOl7. Compensation was awarded by the Arbitration Court yesterday to Henrietta Eliza Brown, who claimed that her husband, William Waddell Brown, had, while employed by the Canter-
bury By-Products Company, Ltd., suffered by accident a strain of the heart which resulted in his death. She claimed compensation under the Workers’ Compensation Act, 1922, costs of the action and such further relief as the Court might deem fit. His Honor Mr Justice Frazer presided, and with him were Mr W. Cecil Prime, employers’ assessor and Mr A. L. Monteith, employees’ assessor. The Court awarded plaintiff £lOl7 3s, .and costs.
