CHRISTMAS WEEK IN STARLAND.
STREAMERS, BELLS, AND HAPPY THINGS. Starland’s gates are open wide to all visitors all this next week, when parents and children will be most welcoztie to inspect the Little Room with the Big Purpose. And that purpose has been well fulfilled this year. After we have made everyone we can happy, we will make merry ourselves. There are pretty green and white streamers all over the room, and more coloured streamers at each corner; there is a large Christmas bell to ring its message of joy and goodwill; there are Christmas trees and cards and calendars and balloons and silver tinsel and just dozens of other delightful things. Then there’s the cake! It has been iced specially for us by a dear Circle grandma, who laboured in love that all our Starland people should be happy. It is a big, big cake, but just think of all the little teeth which are waiting to sample its deliciousness! There are little white roses and silver leaves and Father Christmas himself standing in the middle! Yum! Yum! The Fairies are going to do my work for me this week, and the Happiness Elves have promised a special bag full of smiles, so I’ll be sure to have enough to go round! Such a merry, merry week ’twill be, and then after it’s over, we’ll work hard till party-time again! Now do come even if it’s just for one minute!
