THE WOOLSTON SCHOOL
Arrangements Made For The Jubile.
A meeting in connection with the Woolston School jubilee re-union was held recently. Mr {?. M’Harg presided over a good attendance of ex-pupils, who were representative of the school from the beginning in 1865 down to the present day.
It was reported that the Woolston School jubilee re-union would be held on February 13, 14 and 15. On Saturday, February 13, the ex-pupils’ re-union would be held with the opening ceremony at 2 p.m. During the afternoon there would be sports in Woolston Park. The Woolston Band would be in attendance. A social would be held, at the
school in the evening. A feature would be the screening of many old photos of the school and its early pupils. Any expupils with old photos are asked to foraard them to the secretaries. A church parade would be held in the school grounds on February 14, when repre-' sentatives from the different' churches in Woolston would address those present. On Monday, February 15, the present pupils would he taken to Johnson’s Fish Ponds for a picnic. Mr W. Norris was elected chairman of the jubilee re-union on February 13, and Mr S. M’Harg on Sunday, February It was decided that the souvenir for the occasion take the form of a badge and ribbon in the school colours, dark and light blue. It was decided to send invitations to ex-pupils early in January. Those who have not already done so are asked to forward their* name and address to either of the jubilee secretaries, Miss E. Garton or Mr E. Parish, both of Woolston. It was stated that arrangements were now well in hand, and the committee had every reason to believe that the Woolston School jubilee re-union would be in every way a big success. The next meeting was arrangd for January 4, at 8 p.m.
