PRIZE FOR JOURNALISM.
Three Christchurch Men Placed. (Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, December 19. In the annual competition for the N.Z. prize for journalism the judges comment on the very high standard of the work. The first prize was won by R. K. Palmer, Christchurch, with “ A Telephone Call to London,” the second prize by E. V. Dumbleton, Auckland, with a report on the Napier earthquake, and the third prize by Max Whatman, Christchurch, with “ Marched Through the Streets.” An interview by R. G. Lund, Christchurch, was very highly commended.
