AGONISING BURNS.
Man Falls into Sulphuric Acid. DEATH IN HOSPITAL. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 19, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 19. Agonising burns were suffered by Charles Oaten, who fell into a vat of sulphuric acid at Lysaught’s Newcastle works. He was rescued with great difficulty and when hauled out his clothes dropped from his body. He later died in hospital.
