JUST OUT OF GAOL.
Man Returns to Serve Another Month.
George William Nelson Wildermoth was referred to as “ unfortunate ” by Chief-Detective Carroll in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. Wildermoth came out of gaol a week or two ago and was sent back to-day for another month by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M. Wildermoth, aged 44, a labourer, of no fixed abode, was charged with attempting to obtain from William James Brown the sum of £2 by falsely representing that he was “ Mr Press, jun.,” of the firm of Thompson Bros., general merchants, of Wellington. The chief-detective said that the accused had done the same thing several times before. He went to a place and said he had run out of money and wanted to borrow a few pounds. His story was not believed and the police were called. Wildermoth had only been out of gaol a week or so. “ We’ll have to provide him with Christmas dinner somewhere,” said the Magistrate, imposing a month’s imprisonment.
