PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mrs M. G. Wilson, who has been the guest of Mrs Arthur Pennell, Kaiapoi, has returned to her home at Rolleston. Mrs A. Meynell, -who has been staying with her son at Woodbury, left to-day on a visit to Queenstown.
Mrs E. Saville (Dunedin) and Mrs Welch (Wellington) are guests at Warner’s Hotel.
Mr and Mrs J. T. Nelson, Lower Riccarton, are spending a holiday at Hororata.
Dr and Mrs R. Thorold Grant, Adelaide, are staying at the United Service Hotel.
Miss Nancye Le Cren, who has been spending several weeks in Wellington, will return to Christchurch to-morrow. Miss Anita Bridge will leave next week for Auckland, to spend the holidays with her sister, Mrs Guy Chapman.
Mrs G. D. Greenwood left last night for Wellington, en route for Auckland, where she will spend Christmas and New Year.
Mrs J. Aston, Wellington, who has been visiting her sister. Mrs Harold Matthews, North Canterbury, has returned to her home.
Miss Mabel Twhigg, Amberley House, is spending a week with Mrs Trevor Hawkes, Cashmere Hills, before leaving next Tuesday for the North Island.
Miss Gwen Wratt, who returned recently from a six months’ visit to Fiji, is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr and Mrs W. J. Wratt, Fendalton.
Recent guests at the Hotel Federal include Mrs J. Ewing, Mr and Mrs Pirie (Wellington), Mr F. U. Clarke (Timaru), Miss M. Clarke (Timaru) Mrs A. Fvffe (Greymouth) and Mrs W. Agnew (Invercargill). Miss M. F. Drysdale (Edinburgh), Mr and Mrs S. Watts, and Mr and Mrs T. J. Thurman (Wellington), Miss A. A. Greenslade, and Mrs J. A. Mathewson (Dunedin) are guests at the United Service Hotel.
