NO BOLTING OF DOORS.
LONDON, December 13. “ There will be no bolting of the doors this time,” announced Mr Neville Chamberlain, at Birmingham, referring to the Ottawa Conference. “We are coming to the Conference determined we shall not leave until we have made an agreement which will not only encourage inter-imperial trade, which is most important for the country’s future, but will also establish interimperial relations on a new footing based on material interests more lasting than anything hitherto existing.”
