LOST PATRONAGE.
Higher Fares on Railway Buses. DRIVERS ALARMED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 1. At a meeting of the bus drivers’ branch of the A.S.R.S., the following resolution was carried: “ This branch of the A.S.R.S. views with alarm the activities of the pirate taxi service brought about by the recent increase in bus fares. In view of the serious loss of patronage we implore the Railway Board to immediately reduce with a view to securing public patronage, which has been diverted to the oppositiop services.
