FAREWELL AFTERNOON.
New Brighton Plunket Nurse Honoured. A farewell social was held in St Faith’s Parish Hall yesterday afternoon by the members and mothers of the New Brighton sub-branch of the Plunket Society in honour of Nurse E. Wilson, who is leaving the district. The president (Mrs N. M’Gillivray) expressed the regret felt that such a capable and popular nurse should be leaving the district. During the ten years that Nurse Wilson had been in the borough she had earned the respect and love of all. Nurse J. Sim, who is to replace temporarily Nurse Wilson was introduced to those present. The president, on behalf of the committee and mothers, presented Nurse Wilson with a suitcase and a handbag containing a cheque. A short musical programme was given, items being contributed by Mrs J. H. Shaw, Mrs Gudge. Mrs G. 1 Beilby and Mrs A. Henry played the accompaniments.
