r £ , IIIS was the remark made by the Judge, whose task it was to sort out the winners in the Knitting Competition promoted by Hay’s Limited. And it proved to be no easy task. Submitted for Competition were many beautiful examples of work, which reflected great credit on those whose clever fingers were responsible for it. As the Public are sure to be interested in this Competition, the work will be placed on exhibition for the next ten days at Hay’s Limited, and all are cordially invited to inspect same. The prizes have been awarded as follows: CLASS I.—Baby’s Garment: Ist. Miss R. Harland; 2nd, Miss E. Biggs; 3rd, Mrs E. Olliver. Very Highly Commended: Mrs Chalmers, Mrs D. Hay, Miss M. Roxburgh, Mrs L. Richardson, Miss M. Sanders. Highly Commended: Mrs E. Sanders, Mrs G. Wiberg, Mrs W. G. Taylor, M. Marsden, Mrs Williams, Miss E. Matheson. CLASS 2.—Open: Ist, Mrs E.
