WEDDING.

Bride Wears Ivory Satin and Pearls. BRIDGEWATER—TAYLOR. The marriage was solemnised this afternoon at St John’s Church, Latimer Square, of Nancy Ethelred, younger daughter of the Rev Basil M. Taylor and Mrs Taylor, Cashmere Hills, and Osmond Arthur, elder son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Bridgewater, Timaru. Archdeacon J. D. Russell, Oamaru, officiated, assisted by the Rev E. C. W. Powell, and Dr T. Leslie Crook was the organist. The church was beautifully decorated with pink and white blossom, jap nica in shades of pink and birch. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome gown of ivory satin beaute made on Princess lines moulded well to the figure. The ankle-length skirt was inset with flares at each side, and two narrow hip frills formed a deep Vat the back. A swathed belt of satin defined the waistline. The satin train, forming a cowl effect, fell from the shoulders and was lined with ivory georgette. A flower spray of pearls placed on one shoulder and falling down the back held the train in place, and the same pearl trimming was repeated by a tiny spray on the other shoulder and on the belt. A pearl brooch and necklace, family heirlooms, were also worn. Her veil of tulle fell from a close-fitting cap of old Honiton lace, and was held in place at the left side and back with orange blossom. Her bouquet was of cream and pale pink hyacinths and pink cyclamen. The bridesmaids, Miss Basilia Taylor (chief) and Miss Gabriel Taylor (sisters of the bride), wore frocks of deep japonica-pink satin made with anklelength flared skirts, fitting bodicesgathered at the waistline, and epaulette sleeves. Misses Joy and Fay Bridgewater, Timaru (sisters of the bridegroom) were also bridesmaids, in frocks of pale japonica-pink satin, and made on similar lines as the others. They wore pearl juliet caps to match their pearl necklaces and ear-rings, the gift of the bridegroom, and they carried bouquets of shaded pink japonica and arbutilons. A page boy, Master lan Gibbs, was in an ivory satin suit with a frilled collar. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Harold Bridgewater (brother) as best man and Mr Winston Taylor (cousin of the bride) as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at 8, Dyer’s Pass Road, the home of the bride’s parents. The drawingroom was artistically arranged with bowls of japonica and spring flowers. Mrs Taylor received the guests wearing a grape hyacinth blue georgette and lace frock finished at the waist with a diamente buckle, and a black Ballibuntl hat softened with black ospreys. She carried a bouquet of grape hyacinths and cerise cyclamen. Mrs Bridgewater (mother of the bridegroom) wore a smart black crepe de chine frock with a pale pink georgette vestee and a black velour hat relieved with touches of pink. Her bouquet was of pink icavarias and primroses. Mrs \\’. G. Hand Newton (aunt of the bride) was in a burgundy satin frock, embossed georgette coatee to tone, and a black straw hat. and carried primroses; Mrs A. P. \\ T ebster, Wellington (aunt of the bride), navy blue georgette pin spotted in white, navy hat, and carried a bouquet of grape hyacinths; Mrs F. Yennell, Oamaru (aunt of the bridegroom), navy and coffee three-piece suit and hat to tone; Miss Margaret Y\ r all, Palmerston North (cousin of the bride), blue floral georgette and a fawn hat; Miss M. L. Brown, \Y T ellington (aunt of the bridegroom), apple green floral frock under a black coat and a green and black hat; Mrs G. H. Baillie, Wellington (cousin of the bride), navy figured frock and a navy hat. YY’hen Mr and Mrs O. A. Bridgewater left on their wedding tour, the bride wore a smart black crepe de chine suit hand embroidered in jade green, with a jade green jumper and black coatee made with a basque effect, a black hat and a Chinese jade necklace, the gift of the bridegroom.
