LATE COMMERCIAL.
AUCKLAND BUSINESS. (Special to the ” Star.”) AUCKLAND. August 20. At the morning call only a single sale was recorded and bidding was rather dull. There was a slightly better feeling in Australian banks. In one or two cases buyers advanced their limits. For Commercials 13s 3d was offered, for Nationals of Australasia £9 7s Gd and for Australian of Commerce 12s Bd. Breweries were firmer, with buyers at £1 10s and no sellers. Tax free Government stocks eased further and, following the rates reported from Christchurch at £9B. buyers stood off. with the exception that £9B was offered for a parcel of the 1939 issue. A parcel of Inscribed was offered at £99 ss. 5& per cent (1937) are still in demand at par. Par Press Association. AUCKLAND. August 20. Sales on 'Change—Auckland Gas. 23s 3d; King Solomon, 2s sd.
