SHAMROCK V. WINNER OF KING’S CUP AT COWES.
Telegraph— Copyright. United Press Assn.— By Electric RUGBY, August 4. The race for the King’s Cup at Cowes was won by Sir Thomas Upton's bhamrock V. in 4 hours 16 minutes. It is the first time that Sir Thomas Lipton has been able to enter for this trophy. The King’s cutter Britannia was scratched from the race by his Majesty, following the accident yesterday when the second mate was swept overboard and drowned.
