UNEMPLOYMENT BOARD’S WORK IS EULOGISED
The work of the existing Unemployment Board, which will cease to function at the end of this month, was eulogised at last evening’s meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association. The work of Mr F. L. Hutchinson, who represents the manufacturers of New Zealand on the board, was specially mentioned and a resolution expressing the regret of the executive that the reorganisation of the board might result in the loss of the manufacturers’ representative, Mr Hutchinson, was carried The motion also expressed the hope that the proposed Development of Industries Board might be able to avail itself of Mr Hutchin son’s services.
