LARGE GATHERING AT ANNUAL BALL.
LYTTELTON CLUB HAS SUCCESSFUL EVENING
The annual ball of the Lyttelton Club is always looked forward to by dancers of the port, as it is without exception the brightest social gathering held there. The Social Committee of the club had spared no labour in endeavouring to make this year’s ball a success and it was a large and gay crowd that filled the hall. In addition to having the whole lighting system recently rearranged, the decorative scheme was entirely different from anything seen previously. The streamers were pink and blue, which matched the electric lighting colour scheme. The music was provided by the HerdmanFisk Orchestra. Supper was served in the billiard room which was decorated in keeping with the hall. Bowls of spring flowers decorated the supper table.
