STOLEN TREE REPLACED BY LADY BLEDISLOE.
Per Press Association. GISBORNE, June 20. A totara tree planted by Lady Bledisloe in the grounds of the Maori meeting house yesterday was stolen during the night. The vice-regal party was informed of the occurrence and delayed its departure for Napier this morning so as to allow her Excellency to replace the stolen tree.
