BOXING.
TIMARU TEAM WILL VISIT CHRISTCHURCH. The Timaru Boxing Association having accepted the. invitation of the Christchurch Sports Club to send a representative team of amateurs to try conclusions with a team of the best local amateur boxers it lias been decided to stage this tournament in the Caledonian Ball on Tuesday. July 7. In addition to the inter-provincial contests provision will be made for several bouts between the best of the remainder of the local boys. The personnel of the team to represent South Canterbury will be announced on Monday evening, after which the match committee will meet to select the representatives for North Canterbury.
