la Spite of Depression. Speaking to Mr Reg. Norman, sales manager of the Car Disposal Co., Ltd., to-day, we were astonished at the optimistic outlook Mr Norman has, with regard to the Used Car Business’ Mr Norman states that his firm are selling as many cars now as they have ever done, at prices ranging from £2O upwards. He says that this is entirely due to the fact that, with every used car they well, they give a genuine guar* an tee as to the mechanical condition of the car, and this guarantee is rigidly adhered to. This gives the purchaser the confidence in the car that the Car Disposal Co.. Ltd. wish them to have, and means that the purchaser of the guaranteed car knows quite definitely that in the event of some breakage (which is likely to happen even with a new car) the purchaser is under no obligation to pay for the replacement of the defective part. Mr Norman says that it is to this alone that they attribute the amount of business they are doing, and for a firm that has been in operation for only sixteen months, their record of over 400 sales is a testimonial in itself. Under the circumstances, we can do no more than wish them the prosperity they deserve. —1457
