COALITION URGED DURING EMERGENCY.

AUCKLANDERS APPEAL TO PARTY LEADERS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 19. As part of a Dominion-wide movement aiming at the formation of a National Government a number of prominent professional and business men in Auckland have signed a memorandum, which is being sent to the Prime Minister and Mr Coates. The memorandum declares that a National Party, inclusive of all political sections, is absolutely essential, and that sooner or later it is inevitable that the possibilities of the formation of such a party Should be explored in a conference between all parties, because of the existing national emergency, which threatens to become more acute! Further, public opinion should be made so strong that none will be encouraged to defend the interests of any existing party.
