BRACKENFIELD HUNT.

MEET AT WOODEND.

The hounds met at Woodend where a good day’s sport was enjoyed. Hounds were cast off in a paddock near the hotel, and a run which led across three paddocks and into Tuahiwi resulted. However,l scent was not good and puss was eventually lost in a creek. Another draw was made on Mr M’Quillah’s property and a hare was soon put up. Puss made away in the direction of the Cam and again hounds were unsuccessful. There followed two short runs which led back to the hotel, but owing to the fact that scent was not good hounds were unsuccessful on each occasion. A fresh start was made down the Beach Road and after a good run hounds made a kill on Mr Bunting’s property. Hounds will meet at Beard’s Road, Okuku. to-morrow.
