ELECTRICITY RATES REDUCED IN RANGIORA.
The Rangiora Borough Council at its meeting last night decided to reduce all charges for electricity by 7i per cent, the reduction to come into force on the next reading of meters. On the recommendation of the Electrical Engineer it was also agreed that a reduced rate of 3d per unit, with a minimum charge of 10s per month, be made for current supplied for small freezing plants installed in shops and for which the current was previously charged at lighting rates.
