Lynne” has been reproduced as a talking picture and is being shown at Crystal Palace. The supporting programme is excellent. “ BODY AND SOUL.” Executives of five motion picture studios were bidding for the services of Elissa Landi, following her sensational performance in “A Farewell to Arms,” a Broadway stage play, when she decided to accept the offer made by Fov J ilms and appear in “Body and Soul.” the talkie which is coming to the Crystal. Miss Landi explains that she made up her mind to sign a Fox Movietone contract because she fell in love with the part offered her in “Body and Soul ” opposite Charles Farrell, a popular leading man of the films. Miss Landi is new to the screen only in the United States. She played roles in several foreign-made pictures. Two of them were produced by Elinor Glyn, and in another one she played opposite Adolphe Menjou. Miss Landi is a beautiful blonde, highly educated, cultured and refined. She is the author of two qovels that enjoVed large sales. Featured with Farrell and Miss Landi are Humphrey Bogart and Mvrna Loy.
