CHANGE OF BERTH FOR FERRY STEAMERS.
WELLINGTON. Junfe IS. Now that the work of lengthening the Ferry Wharf for the new ferry steamer Rangitira is in hand, the Harbour Board has decided that for the neNt few rrionths the ferry steamers shall berth at No. 1. Queen’s Wharf. The Maheno, which has been relieving the Maori and Wahine during their periods of overhaul, has had to berth at the Queen’s Wharf because of her size, and the Maori, which until the present has been berthed at the Ferry Wharf, will this evening sail from the Queen's Wharf for the South. The Lyttelton Ferry Wharf is to be lengthened by 40 feet, and the waiting shed is to W extended by 20 feet.
