TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Miss Lou Cartwright (OrbeTl Street) is staying at Tekapo. Mrs P. R. Woodhouse (“ Bluecliff'”) is the guest of Mrs G. Rhodes (Christchurch). Mrs G. E. Gabites (Wai-iti Road) spent the week-end at her cottage at the river. Mrs R. H. . Rhodes (Sealey Street) has left for Christchurch, to stay with Mrs G. Rhodes. Miss Theomin (Dunedin), who has been at Mount Cook, has returned home. Miss Enid Edgar Jones (“ Otiritiri ”) is staying with Mrs Bruce Murray (“Godley Peaks,” Mackenzie Country). Mrs Vivian Boyle (England), who has been stajdng with her mother, Mrs C. H. Tripp (Wai-iti Road), will leave to-day for Wellington. Miss Meg Loughnan (Fairlie), who has been staying with Mrs J. INI. Maling (Christchurch), returned home yesterday. Miss O’Brien (Orbell Street), who spent the week-end with Mrs W. H. Orbell (“The Levels”), has returned home. Miss Mary Rolleston (Le Cren’s Terrace) will leave- to-day for Southland, where she will be the guest of Mrs George Pinckney (“ Glenaray ”). Mr and Mrs A. J. Mullins, who have been staying with Mrs C. E. Johnston (Wellington), arrived in Timaru yesterdey. They will take up residence at Hampton House Flats. Miss Elena Helmore (“ Koromiko,” Wai-iti Road), who has been staying with Mrs Charles Macfarlane (“ Mount Paul,” North Canterbury), has returned to Christchurch, where she is the guest of Miss Betty Bowen. Miss Olive Lyon (England) and Miss Betty Cossins (“ Ardnaquere,” Wai-iti Road), who spent the week-end with Mrs Leslie Blunt (Kaikoura), are now the guqsts of Mrs Westenra (Hawarden). Mrs Malcolm Miller (Wellington), who has been staying with her mother, Mrs Edgar Jones (“Otiritiri”), will return to the North Island to-day. Mrs Mercer (Christchurch) is staying with Mrs F. A. Raymond (Beverley Road).
