TECHNICAL SCHOOL TEACHER FAREWELLED
A farewell social to Miss Richards, who is shortly leaving for Europe, was held in the Ashburton Technical School. The evening was spent in games and dancing.; A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss M. Chesters and Mr W. Page, and the lucky spot waltz by Miss R. Sparrow and Mr G. Stevenson. Music was supplied by Misses N. Clements, N. Stringer, E. Meredith, M. Sutherland, E. Moore, R. Vincent and Mr E. Johnston. Mr R. Robilliard was M.C. Weekly Health Report. There were no notifications of infectious diseases in the Ashburton County or the borough during the week.
