PORT NEWS.
There was a nasty nor’-east ground swell in the outer harbour last evening, and motor launches plying across the harbour had a lively time bringirg passengers from the bays to Lyttelton. The swell was the most severe experienced for some time. Hockey Club’s Practices. Both the Lyttelton Ladies’ Club and the Trinity Club had fair musters at the practices on Saturday. Matches are being arranged with the Redcliffs men’s and ladies’ clubs for Saturday next.
