CIVIL SERVICE SALARY REDUCTIONS TO STAND.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 16. In the House of Representatives this afternoon Mr Williams (Bay of Plenty) asked the Prime Minister whether he would make available to members the findings of the Cabinet Economy Committee before submitting the proposal to reduce Civil Servants’ salaries. Mr Forbes stated that the committee still was sitting. He added that whatever savings in the Public Service were recommended they would not affect the proposal relating to salaries, because it was necessary to economise in every possible direction. \
