NEW RECORD MADE BY ARGENTINE MAN.
EFFORT MADE TO SWIM THREE HUNDRED MILES.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) BUENOS AIRES, March 15. Pedro Cadiotti, Argentine’s most noted swimmer, set a new world’s endurance record of 71 hours 55 minutes in the water. He swam 211 miles in the Parana River, from Santa Fe to near Baradero. He had hoped to swim to_ Buenos Aires, a distance of 301 mfles, but the physician who accompanied him persuaded him to abandon the effort this morning when it became evident that he could not accomplish his objective.
