To the Trade,— We have pleasure in advising that from 16th to 21st, we will have on exhibition at our Warehouse a very fine and attractive display of new season’s goods manufactured by THE PHfENIX COMPANY, LIMITED, Dunedin, for whom we are agents. The display comprises a complete range of Christmas Fancy Boxes, Stock Fancy Boxes, Christmas Crackers, Bon Bons, Christmas Stockings and Novelties, and we have no hesitation in saying that for design, attractive appearance and value, tlrey are superior to anything on the market, whether manufactured in the Dominion or imported. We are also showing a large and varied assortment of high-class Chocolate Goods, Confectionery, Biscuits, and many other allied lines manufactured by the Company. The committee of the Selwy.n Free Kindergarten held its monthly meeting in the Sehvyn Street schoolroom. There were present: Mrs , Hamlin (in the chair). Mesdames Robinson, Williamson, Moyle, Harding, Atkinson, Hutchings, Patterson, Griffiths, Carey and Parlane. It was reported that arrangements were well in hand for the annual fair which be held on Saturday. During the meeting the members stood for a moment as a mark of respect for the late Mrs Smith, an ex-member of the committee.
