Too Adventurous.

To th« Editor. Dear Sir, —Should there not be some re straining hand laid upon our too adventurous youth? The loss of the yacht in which Messrs Sylvester and Hudson attempted their voyage, and also the recent disappearance of the Windward bring this consideration to mind. Adventure is all right up to a point, but both of these ventures were so foolhardy that surely men should not be allowed to throw away their lives in this fashion. When these ventures are projected should not some. responsible authority be able to step in and prevent them, if the craft is deemed to be not sufficiently seaworthy?—l am, etc., SAFETY.
