The annual cradle roll picnic of the New Brighton W.C.T.U. was held recently in the Rawhiti Domain, a large number of children with their parents attending- Mesdames Hastings and Good entertained the children with games and races, and tea was provided. Prices were presented to the win- ( ners .of the races and fruit and sweets distributed to all the children. On behalf of the cradle roll members Miss Joan Chapman presented a bouquet of flowers to Mrs Hastings, the superintendent of the Cradle Roll Depart iment.
