HEAVIEST PENALTY ASKED FOR KIDNAPPERS.
(Special to the “Star.”) SACRAMENTO, January 19. Kidnapping in California accompanied by the crime of assault will be punishable by death if a Bill introduced by Assemblyman Emory J. Arnold, Los Angeles, becomes a law. Other kidnapping offences will be punishable by life imprisonment under the provisions of the Bill. The Bill is an aftermath of recent Los Angeles and Hollywood kidnapping attempts.
