PRIZES IN THE IRISH LOTTERY.

LUCKY SPECULATORS TO DRAW LARGE SUMS. (United Press, Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, March 14. It is estimated that the prizes on the Irish Free State sweepstake on the Grand National will be £300,000, £150,000 and £IOO,OOO. In addition £90,000 will be distributed among the drawers of horses, and there will be 360 prizes of £IOOO each. Extraordinary subterfuges are being employed by English speculators to overcome the postal restrictions. One business house in Dublin received a cage containing a pigeon, a substantial sum of money being hidden in the cage. The pigeon, when released, flew to England with the necessary tickets. Old boots, motor tubes and boxes of chocolates are also used to convey the money to Dublin.
