Rufus Stewart (South Australia) won the Spalding elimination contest to determine who will, represent Australia in the British open golf championship. His score for the seventy-two holes was 309. Others were:—Naismith (Victoria) 315, Downs (New South Wales) 330, Denholm (Queensland) 334, Robertson (Tasmania) 341.
