MINISTER COLLAPSES AND DIES AT SERVICE.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 15 Just after finishing his sermon at the morning service the Rev W. Beattie, minister in charge of the Catholic Apostolic Church, Grafton Road, collapsed and died from heart failure. He closed his sermon with the words: ‘‘Even so, come, Lord Jesus, come quickly,” and was moving from the pulpit toward the altar to commence the Creed when he collapsed. Mr Beattie had been suffering from heart trouble for some years. He was sixty-seven years of age.
