PERSONAL ITEMS.
Dr and Mrs 11. Wales, Cashmere Hills, have gone south for a short holiday. Miss Molly Miller, Invercargill, is visiting Lady Ward, Merivale. Mrs Paul Thomson, North Canterbury, will be the guest of Mrs E. J. Cordner, Rossall Street, this week. Sir Douglas Hall and Lady Hall were passengers by the ferry yesterday morning. Miss Norrie Fenwick, Dunedin, who has been visiting friends in Christchurch, has returned to her home. Mr and Mrs G. T. Bryant, Chester Street, have returned home from a holiday tour of the North Island. Mrs A. Currie, “Veyland,” Cashmere Hills, will leave this week to spend a holiday at “Beachcliffs,” Sumner. Mr and Mrs A. H. Yarrell, Hokitika, returned home this morning after a visit to Christchurch. Mrs W. R. Kettle and Miss Viola Kettle, Grey mouth, who have been visiting Christchurch, will leave tonight for Wellington. Miss Audrey Horton, Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs W. Watson, Wellington, is at present visiting friends in Christchurch. The Hon Mrs Ralph Vane, who has been staying with Mrs Norman Hope, “The Grampians,” South Canterbury, has left for Dunedin, where she will give an exhibition of her pictures. Grays (Dunedin), Mr and Mrs Young (Hastings), Mr S. H ardy (I nvercargill).
