CIVIL SERVANTS GIVE DAY'S PAY.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO FUND FOR EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
When appeals for relief funds were broadcast at* the time of the Hawke’s Bay earthquake the civil servants in Canterbury decided to contribute one day’s pay. With the excepton of few small amounts, the money, £47S 16s lid, has been forwarded. The sums given by the various departments are as follows:
