BIG AMALGAMATION SCHEME RUMOURED
MR A. F. STACEY SAID TO BE BEHIND NEW PROJECT.
Rumours in business circles have it that Mr A. F. Stacey, a prominent city business man. who has been connected with many important ventures and propertv deals in Christchurch during the past few years, is at present in Australia and is engaged in a proposed merger. It is believed that the project concerns the amalgamation of two of the biggest stores operating in Australia and New Zealand. According to a city business man who has been in communication with him, Mr Stacey expects to return to the city shortly.
