THE UNITED FRIENDLY SOCIETIES’ COUNCIL.
The annual meeting: of the United Friendly Societies’ Council was held in the Trades’ Hall on Saturday, Brother W. B. Browne presiding over a fair attendance of delegates. The chairman referred to the serious illness of P.G.P* Brother J. Burgess, U.A.0.D., the secretary being instructed to convey to him the synvpathy of the council. During the year a large amount of correspondence had been dealt, with, and same very important, questions. The balance-sheet; showed receipts £l4 2s Id. and expenditure £2O 2s 3d- The election of officer* resulted: President, Brother A. Forsey, 1.0. R.. vicerpresident. Brother H.
