The Dunedin City Council has approved of a recommendation by its Electric Power Committee that an agreement be entered into with the Government for the supply in bulk of power for Dunedin from the Waitaki hydro-electric works. This entails the
defeiring of the construction of two power stations at the council works at Waipori for eight years. It will also probably mean the cessation at 70ft of the .work on the dam at Waipori, which was commenced with the intention of taking it to 110 ft.
