VARIED PROGRAMME PRESENTED BY GRAND.
The programme at the Grand Theatre includes “The Californian Mail” and “Saturday’s Children.” HER UNBORN CHILD ” IS FEATURED AT THE CIVIC. It is a somewhat arresting change to see a talking picture that breaks right awav from the now too familiar spectacular' type of production, even to the extent of pointing a moral; but such is “Her Unborn Child”, now showing at the Civic Theatre. It is the story of a loveSiffair that almost became a tragedy. The east is headed by Adele Ronton as Dorothy Kennedy, tbe young woman whose honour is at stake. Raul Clare, as Jack Canover, Dorothy’s lover, Pauline Drake and Doris Rankin, and their acting, especially in the several emotional scenes, is creditable.
