YOUNG MAN SENTENCED FOR FALSE PRETENCE.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, January G. Francis John Snow, alias Peers, alias Brown, aged twenty-two, who was released from the Borstal Institution on December 4, was to-day sentenced to two years* reformative detention, when he pleaded guilty to obtaining a canteen of cutlery from Walker, Hall. Ltd., by means of a false pretence. He had opened a bank account, obtaining a cheque book on which he operated after immediately closing the account.
