WOMAN ALLEGES HUSBAND DESERTED.
SAW HIM AT RACES NINE YEARS AFTER. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, January 5. Six children, of which he is the father b\* another woman after deserting his wife and vanishing nine years ago, were a pathetic exhibition in Court this morning, when Arthur George Bossward was charged with the disobedience of a maintenance order. He had escaped detection till New Year’s Day, when his wife saw him investing money on the totalisator at the Waikouaiti races. The eldest of the children by the woman he is living with is eleven years old. All these children were beautifully kept, and were in splendid health, and, counsel said, Bossward was verv steady, attending to his home excellently. He was remanded for a week.
