MINERS' AND OWNERS' CONFERENCE FAILS.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 3. The conference between the South Wales coal mine owners and the miners broke down, the miners rejecting the owners’ offers for a continuance of work at reduced wages. The secretary of the Miners’ Federation, Mr A. J. Cook, says that, he is approaching Mr MacDonald to urge the Government to intervene.
