Rights Of Moslem Husbands Dwindle.
(United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received January 5, 11.30 a.m.) CAIRO, January 3. Divorce is no longer man’s incontestable right in at least one Moslem country. Awarding £SOO to a wife who sought compensation for divorce, an Egyptian court laid down the principle that the husband must show good reasons for divorcing his wife. It also stated that a wife can stipulate in the marriage contract that a man should not marry anyone else while she is his wife ' and must divorce any wives he already has.—“ Times ” Cables.
