THE KING JUST GRANDPA TO PRINCESS ELIZABETH.
Mr J. H. Thomas Tells Of Incident That Occurred At Sandringham.
(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received January 5, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, January 3. A charming glimpse of the King’s home life was given by Mr J. H. Thomas in a speech at Newport when referring to his New Year visit to Sandringham. “ The feature which impressed me most,” he said " was that when I was granted an audience with the King on State affairs, the Queen entered with little Princess Elizabeth and asked: ‘ Would you mind? We want the Princess to wish her grandpa good-night.’ How human and natural and similar to ourselves. When that grandchild comes to the King he is no longer the King, but just grandfather like myself, who have four grandchildren.” Ei a a si is ® @ h Ei m si m is is ® s s a h h s si si h si m m a is a s a @ m @ a h ® is e
