Mr and Mrs E. M. Lovell-Smith are spending a holiday at Otira. Dr and Mrs Lewisham arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. Dr and Mrs Maurice Louisson, Shirley, returned yesterday from Auckland. Miss Margaret Miles, Wellington, will arrive - to-morrow to be the guest of Miss Betty Kiver, Papanui Road. Mr and Mrs Bede Loughnan, Fendalton are spending a holiday in Auckland. Mr and Mrs W. S. Newburgh, Opawa, left yesterday by car for a short visit to Lake Tekapo. Miss Helen Gard’ner, of Wellington, is staying with Mrs R. J. Loughnan at Clifton, Sumner. Mrs Evelyn Wright, of Wellington, is staying with her sister, Mrs Macbean. Stewart, Merivale. Mr and Mrs C. Paclcer-Doust, St Andrew’s Square, are staying at Clifton. Sumner. Mrs Allen Giles, of Rawene, North Auckland, is paying a visit to Christchurch. Mrs H. J. Armstrong, Christchurch, is visiting Auckland. Miss E. Hogg, of Auckland, is visiting Christchurch, where she is the guest of Mrs F. Moffat. Miss M. Farrane and Miss Gray, Wellington, arrived in Christchurch to spend a holiday. Mrs J. Woodley (Wellington) will return north this evening, after spending the holidays at Timaru. Mr and Mrs Owen Williams, Tokomaru, are the guests of Mr and Mrs W. Williams, Collins Street. Miss Thelma Exton, Upper Riccarton, is spending a holiday at Gore and Invercargill. Miss Barbara Gould, Fendalton, who has been staying with Mrs Roger Gould, Rotherham, will return home to-day Miss Muriel Ross, of Invercargill, who has been spending her Christmas vacation with Mrs R. Brown, has returned to the south. Mr and Mrs J. F. Cracroft Wilson have returned to their home in Hawarden, after spending the holidays with Mrs T. L. Cowlishaw, Rossall Street. Mr and Mrs O. Kresse and Miss Mildred Kresse, Murray-Aynsley’s Hill, have returned from a holiday at AkaMrs M. E. Burns, with her two little daughters, is enjoying a seaside holiday with her mother, Mrs J. D. Lawrence, of the ! Esplanade, Sumner. Mrs and Mr D. O’Neill, Lichfield Street, accompanied by Miss E. L. Crowley, left on Saturday morning on a holiday visit to the West Coast. The Chief Justice, the lion Sir Michael Myers and Lady Myers, arrived from the north by the ferry steamer on Saturday morning. Miss Stella Murray intends to leave New Zealand on January 8, and will pay a visit to Dame Nellie Melba in Australia before returning to London. Lady Norah Jellicoe, who arrived in Auckland on Christmas Eve by the Rangitiki, passed through Christchurch yesterday on her way south. Mrs Gerrit van Asch, with her small son and daughter, is spending a holiday with her sisters, Miss E. M’Dowells and Mrs Smith, in Head Street, Sum-, The Rev and Mrs W.
