ATTEMPT IS MADE TO BURN CHURCH.
LIQUID POURED NEAR DOOR OF BUILDING. Per Press Association. NAPIER, January 3. A desoicable attempt to destroy St Patrick’s Church was perpetrated in the early hours of the morning. The outbreak started under a side door, where a liquid had been placed. A hole was burnt in the floor, and the sides of the porch were scorched, the total damage amounting to about £25.
