Dear Leaguers,—Christmas is over, and that means summer is here. So long as Christmas with its warm plum puddings and mince pies is about, summer cannot really begin. But when Father Christmas returns to his homo in the South Pole, and the jolly New Year begins, summer comes really and truly. So now it’s another year, Leaguers, and new things are opening up befor® us. Many* who have passed their proficiency examination will be leaving school altogether, others will be gfting to different schools. To those who arc leaving school, I would mention the significance of tho badge. It seems strange that everything you do reflects on yourself. The fern-leaf says very denitely "Support New Zealand.” By wearing New Zealand clothes you are supporting young New Zealanders, perhaps even making a job for yourself. As you go off for your holiday, be sure that your own country is well represented ! When you dive into the water, feel the satisfaction a New Zealand bathing suit gives. Nearly every one goes away for a holiday in January, so that is the time when new clothes so necessary. Hay’s have them at the prices you want. As regards new school uniforms, you will hear more later. Cheerio, 6 HAYSL. iEEEEEEEEEEEEEESBEEES
